Austria: Blog Entry Wednesday

Wednesday:    On Wednesday we started our day at the school. The spanish students had history first and we had freetime in the morning. Then we walked from the school to the Caritas. We arrived there at about 10:00 o’clock. The Caritas helps homeless people. That is an accommodation for the homeless people. We had a tour in the house and in the garden of the Caritas. In the house there are fourteen beds, bathrooms, one for the men and one for the women, one living room and one dining room. In the garden they have chickens that we were allowed to feed. After the tour we had lunch at Caritas. After that we went back to the school. We arrived at school about 14:00 o’clock. In the afternoon and in the evening we had freetime. Stefan, Nino, Leonhard, me and our hostbrothers/sister went to the football field in Piles where we played a match between the austrian and the spanish students. Austria: Blog Entry Tuesday

Tuesday:     On Tuesday we started our trip at 8:30 at the train station in Gandia. After a 1 hour trip by bus we finally arrived in Carricola. We walked up the hill and saw some special sights like sculptures. At first there were many books of stones and each book represents a name of the village. The village Carricola was often burnt down so the built a sculpture which can stand the fire. Then on the castle we had a short break. The we walked back down where we ate our picnics. After that we drove to our next stop Otos. There we saw some different types of clocks like the sunclock. We finished at 17:00. Then Thomas, Stefan, Leo, Gregory,me and all the hostbrothers/sister of us went to Carlos‘ house. There we played some computer games and table soccer.There we ate some snacks like chips. And at 20:00 we went to the shopping centre to eat dinner with all of the spanish hostbrothers/sisters. We ate at TGB a very good burger. After that we went to llaullau.   written by Nino Eisbacher

Austria: Blog Entry Monday

Monday:    On Monday we visited the school of Gandia the first time. The teachers showed us all the rooms, like the classrooms and the art room and so on. Then we played some ice breaking games so we know each other better. After that every school had their presentation about their projects they made for the Sustainable Development Goals. We began then was Poland and the last where the people from Spain.    After that at 12 am we went to the town hall to meet the mayor of Gandia but he wasn’t there so the secretary of him welcomes us to Gandia. Then we became a guided sightseeing tour through Gandia so it was very nice. Gandia is a beautiful city. When we came back from our tour we ate lunch in the school. They cooked paella for us, so classic Spain food. It was so good.    Afterwards we went together with our hostbrothers and sisters to the beach of Gandia. Austria: Blog Entry Friday

Friday:   Today, we got up at half past seven as every day until now. We dressed, brushed our teeth, ate breakfast and fed the baby-tortoise. Then we chatted a bit about the night and the arrival of my host-sisters sister Paula. She needed to go home because the university she goes to shut down. After that we walked   to the school and Martha had to leave because she had classes. The other austrian students and me still had some time left so we could tell each other the latest news. Our teachers arrived at half past nine and informed us about the situation in Austria and how we are going to deal with it. At this time I was not nervous neither was I scared. I was curious if we were going to fly back to Austria this day or the next Day as it was planned before. When the flight was confirmed I was rushing home packing my bag and said goodbye to my host family. My host mother even made me a sandwich for the travel, gave me a new shirt she bought, gave me a present for my parents and even

Austria: Blog Entry - Thursday

Thursday:  On Thursday the 12th of March, we started our trip at around eight pm and drove with a bus up to the mountains. We went to a cliff, where we could shoot cool photos with the new friend we made. Later that day, we went to the beautiful city of Altea, where we went to the beach and ate some local snacks like churros and enjoyed the sun. On our way back to the bus we went shopping and bought bracelets from a local seller. In the evening one of our host brother threw a BBQ party at his house where we were invited at. We listened to typical Austrian   and Spanish music and had fun with our new Spanish and Polish friends.   written by Leonhard Eibinger

Let’s Challenge the Future!  SchülerInnen des BG/BRG Judenburg besuchen spanische Schule in Gandia!    Im März 2020 nahmen SchülerInnen und Lehrerinnen des BG/BRG Judenburg im Rahmen des 2-jährigen Erasmus+ KA2 Projektes „Let’s Challenge the Future – Approaching new Horizons to Create a Sustainable Europe!“ an einem Schüleraustausch in Gandia gemeinsam mit SchülerInnen aus Polen und Dänemark in Südspanien teil.
