Austria: Blog Entry Friday
Friday:
Today,
we got up at half past seven as every day until now. We dressed, brushed our
teeth, ate breakfast and fed the baby-tortoise. Then we chatted a bit about the
night and the arrival of my host-sisters sister Paula. She needed to go home
because the university she goes to shut down. After that we walked to the school and Martha had to leave because
she had classes. The other austrian students and me still had some time left so
we could tell each other the latest news. Our teachers arrived at half past
nine and informed us about the situation in Austria and how we are going to
deal with it. At this time I was not nervous neither was I scared. I was
curious if we were going to fly back to Austria this day or the next Day as it
was planned before. When the flight was confirmed I was rushing home packing my
bag and said goodbye to my host family. My host mother even made me a sandwich
for the travel, gave me a new shirt she bought, gave me a present for my
parents and even prepared one last lunch. In the meantime our teachers were
trying to plan the departure as good as possible. Everyone was extremely sad
and some of the spanish and polish students even started crying. We didn’t want
to go home but we knew it was for the better. We met at the bust station at 1
pm and said one last goodbye to our host siblings. We went to the valencian
airport by bus and waited for our flight to depart. In the remaining time we
texted the spanish students and talked a bit about the past week, we also ate
some of the food our host families prepared for us. The first flight from
Valencia to Munich was about 2 hours long. We landed at 8 pm. and waited for
our connecting flight to Vienna. At half past ten we arrived in Austria. The
flight was very relaxing but we were so excited to finally be at home again. We got our suitcases and got on our bus to Judenburg.
Everyone was very tired and exhausted from the long journey. I was listening to
some music and fell asleep a few minutes later. Around midnight we arrived
finally our destination.
